McFadden Feeling “Pretty Good” After Busiest Day in 3 Years

Before Sunday, Darren McFadden hadn't had 29 carries in a game since December of 2012

Before Sunday, the last time Darren McFadden had 29 carries in a game was in December of 2012, when he was still a Raider. But with Joseph Randle dealing with a back issue against the Giants, the former fourth overall pick took up the slack and became the team’s first 100-yard rusher of the season, with 152 yards and a touchdown.

Just as important, the 28-year-old came away from his busy day feeling relatively good.

Definitely the most (carries) I’ve had in probably three or four years,” McFadden told the team’s official website, “but I feel pretty good.”

Having got a taste of a greater role last week, and cashing in on it the way he did, McFadden doesn’t sound like he wants to go back.

“I’m just going to go out and keep working how I’ve been doing--going out there and keep preparing the way I’ve been preparing, just be ready for Sunday,” McFadden said. “I want to step in there and just try to take over that role and just try to elevate our game and elevate the team.”
