McFadden “Coming Along Great” in Dallas

Darren McFadden is adjusting to a new team for the first time in his career

In seven seasons with the Oakland Raiders, running back Darren McFadden had to adjust to several offensive coordinator changes. But this offseason marks the first time in his NFL career that he’s adjusting to a new offense in a new city and with a new team.

According to McFadden, the transition is going nicely.

“It’s different for me, just being around in the league I’ve seen people come and go and join different teams but like you said, this year I’m going on my eighth season, my first with the Cowboys and I’m definitely looking forward to coming in, getting acclimated with all the guys and getting adjusted to the offense,” McFadden told the Cowboys official website. “It’s something different to me but I’m taking it in stride and coming along great with it.

The Cowboys are looking to the veteran McFadden to head up the running attack along with young Joseph Randle, who has shown flashes of brilliance in two seasons but is looking at a whole new beast in 2015, in terms of the workload he’ll see with DeMarco Murray gone.
