McClain Makes Impact in Return

Rolando McClain had two tackles and a forced fumble on Sunday night

After missing the victory over the St. Louis Rams with a groin injury, linebacker Rolando McClain returned for the Sunday night matchup with the New Orleans Saints, and certainly made his impact felt.

McClain finished with two tackles and forced a fumble from Saints’ tight end Jimmy Graham in the red zone.

"It was physical," McClain said, per ESPN Dallas. "I wasn’t here last year, but we watched the tape from the game and it was embarrassing and everybody knew that. As a defense, we just want to go out and play better."

McClain may be the biggest and best surprise of the Cowboys’ season thus far. In three games, he has 17 tackles, an interception and a forced fumble, and is fitting in nicely in the Cowboys locker room.

"I need them," McClain said of his teammates. "I need to be on the field. They want me on the field, we need everybody. It’s not taking one, it’s taking everybody to finish the game. It was a great team win, it’s not just me, it’s everybody."
