Kidd Hits 10,000 Assists

Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Kidd became the fourth player in NBA history with 10,000 career assists during the third quarter of Sunday night's game against the Toronto Raptors.

The Mavericks won 109-98 Sunday night.

The 14-year veteran handed out his 13th assist of the night when he passed to Brandon Bass for a 10-foot turnaround with 1:04 left in the quarter. Kidd received a standing ovation when the milestone was announced to the sellout crowd.

Kidd trails John Stockton (15,806), Mark Jackson (10,334) and Magic Johnson (10,141) on the career list.
