Lindy Ruff Doesn't Want to Overreact to Game 3 Loss

The Stars fell 5-3 to the Wild on Monday after taking the first two games of the series

Dallas Stars coach Lindy Ruff knows his team has some adjustments to make following their 5-3 Game 3 loss to the Wild in Minnesota on Monday, but he doesn’t want to overreact to the loss, either.

After all the Stars still have the series lead, at 2-1, going into Game 4 on Wednesday.

"It's one game,” Ruff said, per Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News. “You look at the big picture; I don't want to overreact. We've talked about the different emotions that are going to go through a playoff series. When you win a couple, you almost have this belief that you're not going to lose. So it's how you react. It's my job to pick it up and make some adjustments and have the guys play our game."

If the Stars can do that, there’s a chance they’ll only have to play one more game at the Xcel Energy Center—Game 5 is set for Friday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

"I really feel like we're in a playoff series now," Ruff said. "Now we're in a playoff series, because they've come to play."
