Colby Lewis has his own experience with missing significant time in his career, most recently his 18-month layoff after two surgeries — one on his elbow and one on his hip. And he was around last year for the historically bad injury-filled season that plagued the club.

Lewis spoke to 105.3 The Fan a couple of days ago and told everyone to just relax about the latest string of injuries, which obviously includes Yu Darvish's Tommy John surgery and Derek Holland's shoulder injury that has him out for at least two months.

Lewis said "you guys are stressing out," and when asked who he was talking about, he said:

"You. You guys. The press. You guys all think it’s going to revert back to the injury-plagued season we had last year. Who did we have go down? Just Darvish, that’s it."

Well, he forgot to include Holland and Rua in that bunch, the former obviously being much more concerning than the latter.

Lewis then talked about the rehabbing Martin Perez, who is set for a return sometime in July after his Tommy John surgery last May, and even Matt Harrison, whose career is in question after another back surgery last year.

"I talked to Perez the other day and he said the last four or five they let him go in the pen, and it kind of gave me the goosebumps how excited he was about how great he felt," Lewis said. "I know he’s going to be right around the corner…I feel like we’ve got our guys, got our guys in place, and we’ll be just fine."

So there you, guys. Just calm down. Everything's going to be just fine. Sigh.
