Lewis Seeking Redemption Against Angels

Colby Lewis has been incredibly sturdy and solid over the past two months, but there's been one exception to the rule.

When the Los Angeles Angels come to town, and Lewis is on the hill, things generally don't go too well for the veteran right-hander or the Rangers.

Lewis had the worst outing of his career and in Rangers history back on July 10 when the Angels came to Arlington and put up 13 runs on 13 hits off of Lewis in just 2 1/3 innings. After that, Lewis was back to his 2010 and 2011 self until the Angels visited again. That time, back on Aug. 16, it wasn't July 10th bad, but it wasn't good either.

Lewis gave up five runs on 10 hits in six innings of work but did strike out a season-high 10 batters.

On Tuesday, Lewis will take the mound looking to finally get the best of the Angels in Arlington, where he's been a far inferior pitcher this year as compared to his road splits. And to do that, he'll have to tangle with one of the hottest teams in baseball and owners of the league's best record.
