Latest Hamilton Note Nothing to be Concerned About

Josh Hamilton has missed games with the Texas Rangers before, for such reasons as having dry eyes and then the most infamous — drinking too many energy drinks.

That was infuriating to see, especially when guys like Adrian Beltre were playing with hernias.

So when Hamilton was left out of Tuesday's lineup with "lower body stiffness," it naturally raised a red flag, and with good reason. But worry not, Rangers fan, this is completely understandable.

Remember, Hamilton had about 10 games in the minor leagues before joining the Rangers last week and before that, he hadn't played in a baseball game since October. It's completely understandable that he doesn't feel great after playing in seven straight games, and Hamilton had even referenced his weary legs in Cleveland.

Hamilton, of course, had one at-bat on Sunday with the pinch-hit, walkoff double. Then, the Rangers had Monday off before he was left out of the lineup on Tuesday and possibly again on Wednesday. That should be more than ample rest for Hamilton's legs to get fresh and for him to recharge his batteries.

Don't worry, yet, Rangers fans. There is nothing to see here.
