Late Drop Leaves Bad Taste in Bryant's Mouth

Dez Bryant finished with nine catches, 141 yards and a touchdown on Sunday

Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant had nine catches in the loss to the Chiefs on Sunday, for 141 yards and a touchdown. But after falling on the road to Kansas City, 17-16, the focus of reporters and Bryant himself was on the catch he DIDN’T make, a fourth quarter route on which Tony Romo delivered a perfect pass.

Bryant dropped the ball, leaving a bad taste in the receiver’s mouth.

I took my eyes off of the ball,” Bryant told reporters afterward, per ESPN Dallas. “I shouldn’t have. That was a real bad mistake on my end. That is not winning football. That’s something that I just don’t do.

“Can’t do that. Can’t win like that.”

Bryant’s drop was just one of many examples of the Cowboys shooting themselves in the foot on Sunday.

“I’m not satisfied at all,” Bryant said. “You can’t ever be satisfied with a loss. Congratulations to Kansas City, but we let this one go.”
