Kellen Moore still isn't going to get the start over Matt Cassel when the New York Jets come to town on Saturday night, but he did take some reps with the starters in practice this week.
“He’s gotten a couple reps with the ones over the course of the week,” Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said, per ESPN Dallas, “but he’s gotten most of his work in the scout team and he does a really good job with that.”
There have been calls for the Cowboys to see what they have in Moore this week, following a poor performance by Cassel in last week's 28-7 loss to the Packers.
But the Cowboys never wavered in their support of Cassel and Moore still hasn't ever appeared in a regular season game.
“Everyone loves to play,” Moore said. “At the end of the day, everyone has roles. You do your best with that particular role and that’s how it works.”
