Jones: “Put Me in a Straight Jacket”

Cowboys owner talks while considering draft day moves.

The Cowboys say they don't anticipate moving higher than the 51st pick they currently hold in the NFL draft.

Owner Jerry Jones also knows he has rarely seen a draft day gamble he didn't like.

"We're going to put him in a straight jacket," Cowboys vice president and owner's son Stephen Jones said Thursday, two days before the start of the draft.

Speaking in his futuristic new $1.1 billion stadium just weeks from opening, Jerry Jones started to ponder whether he can resist another draft day deal. Then he stopped.

"Put me in a straight jacket," he said with a smile.

Unless they move up, the Cowboys will spend most of Saturday's first two rounds waiting. But they'll be busy Sunday, when they have 10 picks in rounds 3-7.
