Joey Bosa Met with Cowboys at the Combine

Bosa is widely regarded as one of the top defensive players in the class of 2016

Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa says he formally met with 13 teams at the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis this year, and not surprisingly, the Dallas Cowboys were one of them.

The Cowboys own the fourth overall pick in the upcoming draft.

Bosa also met with the owners of the top two picks in the draft, the Titans and the Browns, and, even after posting a disappointing 4.86 in the 40-yard dash, is widely regarded as one of the top players in the class of 2016.

“Yeah, I thought I was going to run a low 4.7, high 4.6,” Bosa told NFL Network, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. “That was the goal coming into it, but I'm just disappointed.”

Bosa could attempt to put up a better time at his Pro Day, but it’s not guaranteed that he’ll even run the 40 again at that point.

“We'll see if I run,” he said. "We'll see what the teams times are with their hands and if they come out pretty well, I probably won't run.”
