Jerome Henderson Meeting with Falcons Now

Henderson has been the Cowboys' secondary coach since 2012

Dallas Cowboys secondary coach Jerome Henderson will continue his busy offseason on Friday with a meeting in Atlanta, where the Falcons are considering him for an unspecified defensive coaching position, ESPN reports.

Really all we know about the job is that it isn’t defensive coordinator—as has been reported elsewhere— as the Falcons aren’t looking for one of those. Rich Smith, who arrived in Atlanta last year, will continue to serve in that capacity.

Henderson has already interviewed for the Cleveland Browns head coaching vacancy—which went on to be filled by Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson—and the defensive coordinator job with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Henderson came to the Cowboys in 2012, as a holdover member of then-defensive coordinator Rob Ryan’s staff from Cleveland.
