Jason Witten, Trash Talker?

Witten has apparently been dishing out verbal jabs to his teammates all camp

Cowboys veteran tight end Jason Witten has been named to nine Pro Bowls, and he’s been named to the All-Pro team four times, all while being very understated in just about every way imaginable. According to Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas though, he’s not quite so understated in practice.

In fact, he’s quite an accomplished trash talker, when he’s going against his teammates.

"Well, just in practice," Witten said. "You compete. I think it's good for all of us. I really don't say anything in games, but in practice, I think it makes you better. It definitely makes me better as a player."

It’s worth noting that some of Witten’s teammates would disagree that his talking is confined to practice.

"Oh, man, he's lying," said safety Barry Church. "He's such a liar. He's talking stuff all the time, but he's a great competitor and I love him for it."

Witten went on to admit that, okay, he may or may not talk a little during games, too.

"Well, a little bit, a little bit," Witten said. "Yeah, I probably talk a little bit of trash."
