Jason Hatcher Thinks RG3 Woud Do Nicely in Dallas

Hatcher played eight seasons for the Cowboys before leaving for Washington

Even as reports surface that the Cowboys might not have any interest in Robert Griffin III, former Cowboys and current Redskins defensive end Jason Hatcher believes Griffin would be a good fit in Dallas, where he would back up Tony Romo.

"I think so,” Hatcher said, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "It would be great. He has learned a lot. He is chomping at the bit to get back out there. He is not just a running quarterback anymore. I definitely think he would be a good fit in Dallas. And it is kind of home for him."

Hatcher only spent a couple of seasons as Griffin’s teammate but was impressed by the former Heisman winner’s handling of the 2015 season, which saw him benched in favor of Kirk Cousins, who then led the team to the NFC East title.

“Robert handled it well,” Hatcher said. "Controversy will test your character. He showed what kind of guy he was. I’m proud of him. I tell people all the time when he gets his opportunity again in the right system he is going to thrive.”
