Jack Crawford Working Out for Steelers

Crawford has posted six sacks in the past two seasons for the Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys seem to need all the pass rush help they can get at this point, but it looks like they’ll have some competition if they wish to bring back defensive end Jack Crawford.

An unrestricted free agent who posted four sacks in 2015, Crawford will work out for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, according to ESPN’s Adam Caplan.

Aside from the four sacks, Crawford posted 21 tackles, including four for a loss last year. In 2014, his first year with the Cowboys, he had eight tackles and a pair of sacks.

David Moore of the Dallas Morning News recently opined that missing on Crawford could lead the Cowboys to reconsider their stance on Greg Hardy.

"If they are unable to re-sign Jack Crawford—who had a modest sack total of four last year but that still put him in the top four as far as sacks—if they don't get Jack Crawford, I think you probably at least sit down in the building and say 'Look, we know we've said we don't want to bring [Greg] Hardy back. Is everybody still firmly committed to that, or do we need to look at this now?’”
