J-Ham: “There is no Pain”

Rangers slugger could return next week.

Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton could return to the team as early as Tuesday after spending time on the disabled list with bruised left ribs.

Hamilton plans on taking batting practice before the Rangers play the White Sox on Saturday in Chicago. He will then play two games during a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday and Monday.

Hamilton is hitting .242 with two home runs and 10 RBIs in 18 games for Texas and expects to be back in the lineup at Seattle on Tuesday.

Hamilton worked out at U.S. Cellular Field before Friday night's game.

"There is no pain which is good," he said. "I did all my activities today, hit a little in the field, did some drills in the outfield, ran bases, long toss and everything felt fine."
