Irvin Warns Cowboys: Odell Beckham Jr. is a “Bad Man”

Michael Irvin got a firsthand look at Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. during the Pro Bowl

Dallas Cowboys legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin got a firsthand look at New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. last week, after he drafted Beckham to his Pro Bowl squad. Not surprisingly, Irvin was impressed by the young star, and came away with something of a warning for the Cowboys’ coaching staff.

On Sunday night, of course, the Cowboys staff coached Team Irvin.

"I was on the sideline with the Cowboys coaching staff and the one thing we talked a lot about was, 'Man, you guys are going to have to deal with Odell Beckham Jr. for the next 10-15 years,’” Irvin said, per “And they were like, 'Yeah, we've got some real problems.' That boy is a bad man. He's just a bad player, a great player, doing great things early on in his career.”

Indeed. Beckham finished his rookie season with 91 catches, 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns--impressive numbers all by themselves, but even more impressive considering he missed the team’s first four games with a hamstring injury that never fully healed.
