Indiana's Tevin Coleman Models Himself After Murray, McFadden

While his name might not carry the weight of a Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon to more casual fans going into the 2015 Draft, Indiana running back Tevin Coleman has been drawing some serious interest from the Dallas Cowboys. And for good reason.

In his three seasons in a Hoosiers uniform, Coleman established himself as a bonafide home run hitter. As Rainer Sabin of the Dallas Morning News points out, half of his 28 rushing touchdowns at Indiana came on runs of 40-plus yards. Last year, in his junior season, Coleman finished with 2,036 yards and was a unanimous All-American.

Interestingly enough for Dallas fans, when asked to describe his rushing style at the Combine back in Feberuary, Coleman gave two names--one a former Cowboy and one a current Cowboy.

“That’s kind of my style of back--DeMarco Murray or Darren McFadden,” Coleman said. “They are great backs; I look up to them. That’s kind of how I run.”
