Hurdle to Become Next Rangers Hitting Coach

Former Rockies manager coming to Texas

The Texas Rangers have apparently come to a decision on their new hitting coach.

Reporter T.R. Sullivan with MLB.COM reports former Rockies manager Clint Hurdle will be named the Rangers hitting coach in the next few days.

Hurdle beat out several candidates, including fan fave Rusty Greer for the position. He would replace Rudy Jaramillo who turned down a one-year contract offer. Jaramillo joined the Chicago Cubs shortly after leaving the Rangers.
