Hamels Hopes to Duplicate Last Start vs. Astros

As the Rangers will look to improve to 8-0 against the Houston Astros this season and win their 12th straight game over the Astros in Arlington dating back to last season, they'll have a pretty trusted hand on the mound.

Cole Hamels will take the hill and deliver the game's first pitch around 7:05 p.m., and he'll do it on the heels of a recent domination of the Astros in Houston.

Just a few weeks ago on May 22, Hamels pitched in Houston and put together what is probably the best start of his Rangers career, which is nearly a year old now.

Hamels worked eight innings, allowed one earned runs and struck out 11 batters with two walks.

Now, he'll try to do that again and put the pedal to the metal as the Rangers try to separate themselves further from their in-state "rival."
