Haley Says He'll Be Disappointed If Cowboys Don't Win It All

Charles Haley was on the last Cowboys team to win the Super Bowl

Hall of Famer-to-be Charles Haley has very high expectations for the Dallas Cowboys this season. In fact, he says if they don’t win the Super Bowl, he’ll be personally disappointed.

I told Jerry (Jones) what I’ll tell you,” Haley said, per Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News. “If they don’t take it to the house this year, I’ll be disappointed.”

Haley won three of his record five Super Bowl rings with the Cowboys, but the Cowboys haven’t been back to the mountain top since Haley retired in 1996. But this year, thanks to upgrades to the personnel on the defensive side of the ball, Haley believes the team has what it takes to return to the Super Bowl and actually win it all.

“Teams are going to have to find a new wrinkle to attack the Dallas Cowboys’ defense,” he said. “Without injuries, I really think these guys got it.”
