Griffin Hopes to Stop Bleeding

Usually when teams are in an extended losing streak they look to their ace to be the "stopper" and get things back on track.

With the Rangers in the midst of a season-long four-game losing streak and the New York Yankees in town, the Rangers will hope their temporary No. 5 starter can come through and stop the bleeding on Tuesday night.

Griffin has been solid early in his Rangers tenure, as the former A's starter who missed two years after Tommy John surgery has gotten off to a 2-0 start with a 3.18 ERA in his three starts with the club.

He has struck out 12 and walked eight in his 17 innings of work, and he'll look to continue his run of decent success against a Yankees lineup that is in some massive struggles at the moment.
