The top prospect in the Texas Rangers' system isn't playing like it right now.
Joey Gallo, who had a brief stint with the Rangers that started with a huge bang and ended with several thuds, was put back down in the minors, with a promotion of sorts, going from Double-A to Triple-A with his brief MLB stint mixed in due to injuries with the big club.
Gallo hasn't yet gotten comfortable in his new digs with Triple-A Round Rock, and that continued on Thursday night when he went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts.

In his 36 at-bats with Round Rock, he's now batting just .194. He does have three doubles and two homers in those nine games, and you'd have to feel pretty good betting money he'll turn things around and start having success at Triple-A like he did at Double-A, but as of now, he's still working to find it.
Prior to his promotion to Arlington, Gallo hit .314 with nine homers and 31 RBIs in 34 games with Double-A Frisco. In his 25 games with the Rangers, he hit .214 with a .448 slugging percentage.
