Joey Gallo isn't starting the season in Arlington, and he might not be up with the Rangers at all until possibly September.
But the minor-league power-hitting phenom, who will start the season at Double-A Frisco, is dealing with some heel pain that has him seeing a team specialist back in DFW with just a few days before the season begins.
Gallo first had the soreness in his heel on Monday, which forced him to be scratched from that Future exhibition between the Rangers and Cubs prospects in Arizona, and he hasn't played in a game since. Gallo told The Dallas Morning News that he doesn't believe the pain in the back of his heel is related to his Achilles' tendon.

As of now, Gallo's MRI results aren't known, but the hope is that it will reveal nothing significant.
