Free agent cornerback Patrick Robinson is at Valley Ranch today for a visit with the Dallas Cowboys and, according to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News, they’re at least relatively close to getting a deal done.
Citing an unnamed source, Moore reports the Cowboys are farther along in talks with Robinson than they are with running back Alfred Morris, who is also visiting today.
Robinson is the third free agent corner to visit Cowboys’ headquarters this offseason, Nolan Carroll and Leon Hall being the first two, but Carroll left without a deal and Carroll ended up re-signing with Philly.

Robinson came into the league as a first round pick of the New Orleans Saints in 2010, and spent five seasons with the team before moving on to the San Diego Chargers last year. In San Diego, he appeared in all 16 games, starting 10, and recorded 49 tackles, eight passes defended and an interception.
