Fort Worth is going purple to support the start of TCU's football season.
Each Friday, starting Sept. 2, the city is asking employees to wear purple in support of the Frogs. They'll also be lighting up downtown in a purple hue once the sun sets.
Other businesses are aboard the "purple reign" train, including a number of stores near TCU and in Hulen Mall.
Businesses listed at this link (Go Purple Friday Partners) will offer discounts for folks who show up in purple on Friday.
TCU football is hoping to extend last year's undefeated season and Rose Bowl victory in a bout against Baylor on Sept. 2.
