Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 9

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts," Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Peyton Manning, QB, DEN — Manning had drawn the ire of fantasy players everywhere over the first seven weeks of the season as the Broncos were undefeated by virtue of a suffocating defense and a running game with no No. 1 back. Manning had been very pedestrian, and it looked like his wear and tear was catching up with him. Then, last week against Green Bay, he looked pretty dang good. Now, he gets a bad Colts defense and gets to play the team that kicked him to the curb back in Indy. Look out.

Honorable mention: Derek Carr, OAK (at PIT); Jay Cutler, CHI (at SD); Darren McFadden, DAL (vs. PHI); Dez Bryant, DAL (vs. PHI).

Dud of the Week

Andrew Luck, QB, IND — See a theme here? Not only is Luck going up against his predecessor, he's struggling, clearly isn't 100 percent and is playing the best defense in football, and frankly one of the best defenses in the league in years. The Broncos swarm the ball and create turnovers, and Andrew Luck has been a turnover machine this year. Sit him down if you can.

Honorable mention: Frank Gore, IND (vs. DEN); Allen Robinson, JAC (at NYJ); Jason Witten, DAL (vs. PHI); Ryan Tannehill, MIA (at BUF).
