Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 5

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts," Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Eli Manning, QB, NYG — Manning is quietly having a pretty nice season, mostly thanks to his newfound skill of not throwing interceptions. He has Odell Beckham Jr. at his disposal, and is now getting some nice contributions from Rueben Randle as a No. 2 wideout. All of that means a big game when you're facing a horrible San Francisco secondary, which faces that unenviable task of making a trip from West Coast to East Coast, that has been a quarterback's best friend this year.

Honorable mention: Philip Rivers, SD (vs. PIT); DeMarco Murray, PHI (vs. NO); Allen Robinson, JAC (at TB); Charles Clay, BUF (at TEN).

Dud of the Week

Matthew Stafford, QB, DET — Stafford hasn't been the Stafford of old, and it won't get any better this week as he gets an Arizona Cardinals defense that's going to be upset after they suffered their first loss of the season last week against the Rams.

Honorable mention: Derek Carr, OAK (vs. DEN); Andy Dalton, CIN (vs. SEA); Joseph Randle, DAL (vs. NE); Amari Cooper, OAK (vs. DEN).
