Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 17

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts", Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Nick Foles, PHI, QB — The one glimmer of hope for the Dallas Cowboys this week is that their defense completely shut down the Eagles in their first meeting this season, and that game was in Philly. Nick Foles had his worst game of the year and was knocked out of it with a concussion. But now? Look out, Cowboys. That was the last good game the Dallas defense played, and Foles has been on a tear ever since. Look for him to get the last laugh in a winner-take-all game at AT&T Stadium.

Honorable mention: Philip Rivers, SD (vs. KC); Kyle Orton, DAL (vs. PHI); DeMarco Murray, DAL (vs. PHI); Brandon Marshall, CHI (vs. GB).

Dud of the Week

Colin Kaepernick, SF, QB — Kaepernick has benefited from the return of Michael Crabtree and has been more of a fantasy option in recent weeks, but this week's matchup is not a good one. The Niners travel to Arizona to face a Cardinals defense that is pretty darn good at home. It's going to be a war and there's a playoff spot on the line between two division rivals.

Honorable mention: Frank Gore, SF (at ARI); Andy Dalton, CIN (vs. BAL); Matt Schaub, HOU (at TEN); Russell Wilson, SEA (vs. STL).
