Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 16

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts," Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Karlos Williams, RB, BUF — Sorry, Cowboys, but you're the victim of the week's best start. Williams is the backup to LeSean McCoy but should be getting the bulk of the carries on Sunday in Buffalo after McCoy reportedly suffered a torn MCL last week. This is a guy who scored touchdowns in each of his first six NFL games this year, is fast and runs with power and a bit of nasty in him. The Cowboys' defense has played well lately but they've failed to shut down running backs for four quarters, and Williams should benefit as long as the Dallas offense doesn't jump out to a huge lead. We all know that's not happening.

Honorable mention: Blake Bortles, JAC (at NO); Matthew Stafford, OAK (vs. SF); Denard Robinson, JAC (at NO); Allen Hurns, JAC (at NO).

Dud of the Week

Matt Ryan, QB, ATL — Just a few weeks ago, Ryan faced the Panthers defense and turned in his worst fantasy outing of the season. That was in Charlotte. On the plus side, he returns home to Atlanta this week, but it's still against that stout Panthers defense and Josh Norman. It's been a nightmare of a year for the Falcons and Ryan, and it should continue this week.

Honorable mention: Eli Manning, NYG (at MIN); Lamar Miller, MIA (vs. IND); Chris Ivory, NYJ (vs. NE); Larry Fitzgerald, ARI (vs. GB).
