A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts," Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.
Stud of the Week
Derek Carr, QB, OAK — Carr has looked like a top fantasy quarterback for the past three weeks now, when he's thrown 11 touchdown passes and just one interception. The second-year quarterback has vaulted the lowly Raiders into the playoff picture along with a pair of really good receivers in veteran Michael Crabtree and explosive rookie Amari Cooper. This week, he gets a Vikings secondary that is ripe for a generous game to an opposing quarterback, and Carr is the perfect candidate.
Honorable mention: Blake Bortles, JAC (at BAL); James Starks, GB (vs. DET); Darren McFadden, DAL (at TB); Stefon Diggs, MIN (at OAK).
Dud of the Week
Carson Palmer, QB, ARI — I think Palmer holds the lead this year in being named the Stud of the Week, and he's come through just about every time for a big game. But this week, he faces a good, and somewhat desperate Seattle Seahawks defense at The Link in Seattle, and it's going to be a long day for the veteran, who hasn't faced Seattle since 2013.
Honorable mention: Russell Wilson, SEA (vs. ARI); Ronnie Hillman, DEN (vs. KC); Larry Fitzgerald, ARI (at SEA); Sammy Watkins, BUF (at NYJ).
