BCS National Championship 2009: Florida Gators 24, Oklahoma Sooners 14

In a hard-fought defensive struggle, the Florida Gators defeated the Oklahoma Sooners 24-14 to win the 2009 BCS National Championship Game.

The game went back and forth and was mostly even throughout, with the score tied 7-7 at halftime and 14-14 early in the fourth quarter. But a Florida field goal gave the Gators a 17-14 lead with just under 11 minutes to go in the fourth, and Tim Tebow hit David Nelson for a four-yard touchdown with 3:07 to play. That basically sealed the win.

The victory gives Florida its second national championship in three years. Urban Meyer leads the best football program in the country, and next year this Gators dynasty may make it three of four.
