Linebacker Kyle Knox was cut by the Dallas Cowboys on June 5, just three days after his signed with the team. A little over three weeks later, Knox has been suspended four games by the league for unclear reasons.

The suspension, for the violation of some unnamed league policy, was reported by Howard Balzer of Sports Xchange on Monday evening.

Knox came into the league with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State in 2012, but never appeared in a game for the team. His first real action came in 2013, when he appeared in four games for the Jacksonville Jaguars but failed to record a tackle.

Last season, Knox went to the Saints and recorded the first three tackles of his career while appearing in 12 games.
