Eagles Continue Wild, Crazy Offseason

Chip Kelly is wasting absolutely no time trying to make his mark on the Philadelphia Eagles after being given full power in all personnel moves this year, and Eagles fans everywhere are left wondering what the hell happened to their team.

Just two years ago, the Eagles had one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL in Desean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin, and now they're both gone. They also had arguably the best all-around running back in football, and now he's gone.

But that's not even the worst of it.

After an insane trade on Tuesday afternoon as soon as the league's calendar flipped to a new year, the Eagles quarterbacks are now Mark Sanchez and the oft-injured Sam Bradford — both top-5 draft picks in the 2010 draft with Bradford going No. 1 overall.

Bradford missed all of last season with the Rams after blowing out his knee, and Sanchez relieved an injured Nick Foles and went on to do Mark Sanchez, butt-fumble things.

Basically, the Rams were sure to cut Bradford this summer to get out from under his massive contract. Instead, the Eagles took him, and his contract, for a pretty serviceable quarterback in Foles.

Things are going to either turn out really poorly for Chip Kelly, or he's going to look like a genius. I'm going with the former.
