Draft Expert Says Aaron Donald “Perfect Fit” for Dallas

The defensive tackle from Pitt was the Outland Trophy winner and a consensus All-American in 2013

NFL scout turned CBS analyst and writer Pat Kirwan is convinced Pittsburgh defensive tackle Aaron Donald is just what Rod Marinelli and the Dallas Cowboys’ defense needs.

“After watching Donald at the Senior Bowl and knowing what Rod Marinelli and Monte Kiffin want, this guy is the perfect fit,” wrote Kirwan, who has the Cowboys taking Donald at No. 17 overall.

Most experts seem to agree that the Cowboys will target the defensive line in the first round of the 2014 Draft--some have the team going after a safety, as well--and Donald has been connected to the team in more than a few mock drafts.

Certainly, Donald would bring quite the pedigree to Dallas if he were to wind up here. In 2013, he won the Outland Trophy, the Bronco Nagurski Trophy, the ACC’s Defensive Player of the Year and was a unanimous All-American.
