Dirk: “Man. It's Stressful Supporting the Cowboys”

Not even NBA superstars are immune to the stress that comes with watching the Cowboys

Being a Dallas Cowboys fan these days isn’t easy, even if you’re an NBA superstar.

On Sunday, the Cowboys looked all but cooked when the Minnesota Vikings’ Adrian Peterson took four Cowboys defenders with him into the end zone to give Minny a 23-20 lead with about five minutes left. Thanks to Tony Romo’s game-winning touchdown drive in the final minute, the team escaped with a victory to get to 5-4.

Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki, who’s an outspoken fan of the Rangers and the Cowboys, admitted on Twitter after the win that the game left him a little grayer in the hair.

Man. It’s stressful supporting the cowboys,” Nowitzki wrote, sic, via the Dallas Morning News. “Win is a win. On to the next one”

Indeed, but the next one probably isn’t going to help much in the stress department: They’ll face the 6-2 New Orleans Saints (and former defensive coordinator Rob Ryan) at the Superdome next Sunday night.
