Riding the high of a four-game winning streak and a 27-13 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, New York Giants’ defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul suggested that the Giants would “put it on” the Cowboys in the teams’ upcoming meeting at MetLife Stadium, that there would “be a lot of blood spilled out there.”
Dez Bryant isn’t bothered, and he certainly wasn’t surprised by Pierre-Paul’s comments.
“He’s supposed to feel that way,” Bryant said when asked about the remarks on Monday, per Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News. “You’re an opponent. We’re an opponent for them. It’s great confidence.”
Falling in line with his head coach Jason Garrett, Bryant refused to deliver anything that could even remotely be considered bulletin board material.
“We aren’t worried about proving anybody wrong,” Bryant said. “We’re just trying to go out there and play some ball, some great football and try to execute the plays we practice on each and every day in practice.”
