Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant showed up to the team’s OTA workout on Thursday, but that doesn’t mean there’s been any progress toward the new, long-term contract that the All-Pro is holding out for.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Bryant’s participation was limited to individual drills, but it does mark the first work he’s done with quarterback Tony Romo this offseason. Before OTAs started this week, Bryant made appearances at Valley Ranch to do his strength and conditioning work and to be around his teammates. He still hasn’t signed his franchise tender offer.

“He has been in and out at different times,” head coach Jason Garrett said of Bryant this week. “Obviously, he’s working on the business part of his contract, working through this franchise player tag. We’ve been in communication with him, he’s been in communication with his teammates. He seems to be in great shape whenever we’ve seen him.”

Bryant and the Cowboys have until July 15 to work out a long-term deal, or he will play the year under the franchise tag. If it comes to that, Bryant won’t likely rejoin the team full-time until training camp in Oxnard, CA in late July.
