Crawford Fights Through Shellfish Allergy in Win

Tyrone Crawford was listed as questionable going into Sunday afternoon after suffering an allergic reaction

Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford never had a doubt that he’d play in Sunday’s wild card round matchup with the Detroit Lions. The same can’t be said for the staff around him.

Crawford was held out of practice on Friday after he had an allergic reaction to some shellfish on Thursday night, and was officially listed as questionable going into Sunday.

They told me that they put me as a ‘maybe,’” Crawford said, per the Dallas Morning News. “I told them you can do whatever you want. I will be playing.”

Crawford finished with three tackles and batted down a pass in the 24-20 victory.

“I didn’t eat a lot today,” he said. “I ate two pieces of bread. It was just hard. Still, I had to play. If you guys ever see me eating lobster or shellfish again, please slap me in the head.”
