When the Dallas Cowboys take the field on Sunday at noon in Washington, their top priority will be to keep everyone healthy heading into their postseason opener, which almost certainly will come next week.
Their second priority? Well, that'd be trying to contain Redskins running back Alfred Morris, who has been great in his career against the Cowboys.
Morris is in his third season, and he's already eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark — his third 1,000-yard season in as many NFL seasons, but he's been especially good against the Cowboys. In fact, with three more rushing touchdowns against the Cowboys, he'll tie former Redskin great John Riggins with 10 rushing touchdowns against the Cowboys, the most in NFL history against America's Team by any player, ever.
In his five games against the Cowboys, he's rushed for 555 yards and seven touchdowns, including one in the teams' previous meeting this year back in Week 8 when he scored a touchdown and rushed for 73 yards in the Redskins' overtime win.
The Cowboys are No. 9 in the NFL against the run, a figure buoyed by the fact they allowed just 1 rushing yard last week against the Colts, but they have a whole different challenge this week to shut down a guy who's ran wild on them in the past. Then, it's playoff time.
