Cowboys Not Considering Ray Rice or Chris Johnson at the Moment

Many have wondered if the Cowboys will attempt to shore up their stable of running backs with a veteran

The Dallas Cowboys’ release of Ryan Williams this week reignited discussions of the running back position, specifically if the Cowboys will consider adding a veteran to the mix--someone like Chris Johnson or Ray Rice.

For now, anyway, it’s not looking like it.

Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that the Cowboys are not looking to add anyone to a stable that consists of Darren McFadden, Joseph Randle, Lance Dunbar, Lache Seastrunk and the recently signed undrafted free agent out of Stephen F. Austin, Gus Johnson.

According to a source, the team wants to see how the guys on the roster do in training camp before considering bringing in anyone new.

That said, the source added, "Never know what will happen in a couple weeks."
