Cowboys Lose DT Terrell McClain for the Season

The Dallas Cowboys, already pretty thoroughly bitten by the injury bug two weeks into the year, have lost veteran defensive tackle Terrell McClain for the season.

McClain suffered a toe injury during Sunday’s 20-10 victory over the Eagles in Philadelphia, which will require surgery and end his 2015 season. McClain recorded a pair of tackles in that game, as well as a pair of tackles in the season opening victory over the Giants.

McClain was one of just three backup defensive tackles on the roster, and his injury leaves Davon Coleman and Ken Bishop in that group.

A third round pick by the Panthers out of South Florida in 2011, McClain joined the Cowboys in March of 2014, after spending two seasons with the Texans. He also played a season for the New England Patriots.
