Cowboys Looking to Finish Stronger

Dallas allowed the Bears to score 21 points in the fourth quarter of last week's win

Obviously, Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett was happy to come away with the win in Chicago last Thursday night. He wasn’t so thrilled with the way his team finished.

"We have to do a better job," Garrett said, per Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas.

The Cowboys went into the fourth quarter with a 35-7 lead over the Bears, but they allowed Chicago to close that lead to 41-28 by the final whistle. Cornerback Brandon Carr, too, was miffed by the way the defense played in the final frame.

“We’re happy with the W, but we’re not happy with the last quarter of our play,” Carr said. “That’s something we have to improve upon going forward, because this is playoff football now.”

Granted, it was a convincing win on the road. But the Bears aren’t exactly a great team, and it could have been more convincing.

“You have to dominate once you get a team down,” Carr said. “You’ve got your foot on the throat, you’ve got to go ahead and step on it, man.”
