Cowboys Lead Seahawks 17-10, At Half

Dallas finished the first half with 17 unanswered points

After a shaky start, the Dallas Cowboys have been impressive through 30 minutes of football in Seattle and lead the favored Seahawks 17-10 at intermission.

The scoring got started when Steven Hauschka capped the Seahawks’ first drive with a 33-yard field goal to give the home team a 3-0 lead.

On the Cowboys’ first possession, it got a little ugly. First, on a third down, Tony Romo was absolutely blasted by Seattle’s Bobby Wagner, a hit that left the Dallas signal caller on the ground. Then, the Cowboys’ punt was blocked by Doug Baldwin and returned for a touchdown by Mike Morgan. Just like that it was 10-0 Seahawks, but Dallas bounced back beginning on their next drive.

Romo and Co. marched 80 yards on nine plays, scoring on a pass from Romo to Gavin Escobar. They tied it up on the drive after that with a 42-yard Dan Bailey field goal.

Late in the half, Romo hit Jason Witten in the end zone, to give the Cowboys a 17-10 halftime lead. Romo is currently 13 for 20 passing for 140 yards and two scores.

The ground game has been impressive as well, with the combo of Joseph Randle and DeMarco Murray combining for 98 first half yards.

Dallas will get the ball to open the second half.
