Cowboys Lead Eagles After Ugly First Half, 6-0

Both the Cowboys and Eagles have struggled with penalties and miscues all afternoon

After 30 minutes of mostly ugly football in Philadelphia, the Cowboys lead the Eagles, 6-0.

The Cowboys appeared poised to jump to a 7-0 lead on their third drive of the game, but after Gavin Escobar was ruled down at the one-yard line on what would have been a 14-yard touchdown pass from Tony Romo, Dallas couldn’t cash in. They settled for a 20-yard field goal from Dan Bailey to take a 3-0 lead.

Bailey, who also knocked in a 28-yarder to extend the Dallas lead to 6-0 as the second quarter ran out, provided the only points for either side in the first half.

The Eagles’ Sam Bradford finished the first half with just 24 yards on 5/9 passing, and former Cowboy DeMarco Murray has one yard on five carries. The Eagles finished the first half with just 24 yards of total offense.

Romo finished the half with 156 yards passing, no touchdowns and no picks. Joseph Randle is leading the way for the Cowboys on the ground, with 30 yards on 10 carries.

The Eagles will get the ball to start the second half.
