The Cowboys will be in Columbus, Ohio Friday for one more close-up of the player they will draft April 28.
A good look at Joey Bosa on Good Friday.
I’ve been saying for months that they must address their lack of a pass rush with the 4th overall pick in the NFL Draft. Bosa, the Ohio State beast, is the best pass-rushing defensive end in the draft.

The Cowboys can’t pass on him. And, according to his latest mock draft, ESPN expert Todd McShay agrees. He has the Cowboys taking Bosa No. 4 and then Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook at No. 34.
We can disagree about the latter pick in a blog coming your way soon. But Bosa makes total sense. They’ve added Benson Mayowa and his two career sacks in free agency, but there are questions surrounding DeMarcus Lawrence’s back and Randy Gregory’s suspension and Greg Hardy’s departure.
I’m sure Ezekial Elliott will impress in today’s private workouts. He’ll be the best running back in the draft, and likely available at No. 4. But here’s hoping the Cowboys aren’t tempted. Besides, if they’re interested in Elliott then why’d they just sign free agent Alfred Morris to a two-year deal?
Look, in today’s NFL a pass rush is far more important than a running back. Just ask the Super Bowl champion Broncos.
The Cowboys need to fill their biggest hole with the best player that fits. It’s a sound strategy that clearly points to Bosa. If all goes well in Columbus, it will indeed be a Good Friday.
