Cowboys Defense Should See a Lot of Eddie Lacy

Lacy went for 141 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys in their meeting last year

Even if Aaron Rodgers is hobbled to some degree by a calf injury on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys will have their plates full with Packers running back Eddie Lacy.

Lacy has 1,139 yards and nine touchdowns on the season. In his only previous matchup with the Cowboys, in Week 15 of last year, he went for 141 yards and a touchdown in a 37-36 Packers win.

Considering Rodgers’ health and the forecast calling for temperatures in the teens on Sunday, the Dallas defense is expecting to see plenty of Lacy.

Hoo boy, he’s a good player now,” said Cowboys defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli, per the Dallas Morning News. “Since I’ve been against these guys and Coach (McCarthy) up there, they’ve always had a very physical back. He’s just like them all--he’s strong. ... The offensive linemen are extremely physical. They know how to run the football. He knows how to run the football, and that back fits them.”
