Cowboys D-Linemen Held Players-Only Meeting on Monday

The Dallas Cowboys defensive linemen had a closed-door, players-only meeting on Monday at Valley Ranch, the morning after an overtime loss to the Eagles extended the team’s losing streak to six and sent them to a record (2-6) that has never been overcome under the current playoff format.

Unsurprisingly, veteran defensive end Jeremy Mincey wouldn’t offer any specifics, but said what needed to be said was said.

“We sat in a room and hashed things out,” Mincey told the team’s official website. “Talking about it is key. As a whole, we’re working hard to making our wrongs right and do everything humanly possible to get this team back in position to win games.”

While the general feeling outside the locker room is that this looks like a lost season, Mincey added that the mood within the locker room is actually still pretty positive.

“Nobody is pointing any fingers. Nobody is being negative,” Mincey said. “But there’s a lot more urgency right now. It’s time to get this thing rolling.”
