Cowboys Add LB Justin Jackson

Jackson spent time on the Redskins' and Raiders' practice squads last year

When the Dallas Cowboys parted ways with Kyle Knox on Friday, just three days after signing him, we assumed they’d sign another linebacker to take his spot on the roster. And as of Monday, they have.

The Cowboys added Justin Jackson on Monday, filling their roster to the limit of 90 once again.

A Wake Forest product, Jackson joined the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent just over a year ago and spent time on the practice squads of the Washington Redskins and the Oakland Raiders in 2014. The Raiders cut Jackson last month.

In his senior season of 2013 at Wake Forest, Jackson recorded 56 tackles, two sacks and two passes defensed. His best season was his junior season, when he led the Demon Deacons with 81 tackles, and had 8.5 tackles for a loss and four sacks.
